Could not put it down. Just had to know what happens next. Was a little sad at the ending.
Well, I trusted the 5 star ratings and this turned out not to be for me. Not sure if the folksy tone to the characters or the damsel in distress or the light treatment of what could have been a strong theme and plot, maybe a combination of all theses things. But I gave up on it a third of the way through. I had started to skim about a quarter of the way through and then decided if I wasn't going to seriously read it, then it wasn't worth my time to skim. I don't like to leave this type of review because it is hard to write, something I can't do. So I'll leave it at this book just wasn't for me. I'm sure it will be well received by many others. I just prefer a more hard boiled theme and plot.
Good plot and nicely written. Kept my interest. Anxious to read HITS. Good job
Filled with beautiful descriptions of the essence of life, the battle of good vs. evil. The desire for love, and vengeance. And doing what must be done, without losing your soul. A white knuckle emotional roller coaster. I loved it!
